Welcome to the DRC — UNC is lucky to have you!
The first step in affiliating with the DRC is to choose an affiliation method that best suits your situation/needs.
Before continuing, please read more about the Blue, Accelerated and Gold, Standard Affiliation methods:
Affiliating with the DRC.
Documentation of disability can be submitted prior to, during, or after your initial appointment.
Documentation can be submitted via email (DRC@unco.edu), fax (970-351-4166), or in-person, it can also be uploaded directly here. Documentation guidelines can be found on our website:
DRC Documentation Guidelines
If you are seeking to affiliate with the DRC using the Blue, Accelerated method documentation is required prior to the DRC making determinations around accommodation eligibility.
The DRC maintains confidentiality of your health and disability information. We share information about accommodations and access measures with instructors and University staff on a need-to-know basis. We do not share diagnostic information, and if students need us to share information with a support person or health provider, we will ask them to complete a release of information form.
DRC employees are mandated reporters. When students working with the DRC report sexual assault/misconduct, relationship violence, stalking, or harm to themselves/others, the DRC has an obligation to report those incidents to the University’s OIEC office. If a report is made, OIEC will follow up with students to provide resources/additional support. If students want a confidential place to discuss, DRC employees can share campus resources.
We look forward to partnering with you — an access coordinator will be in touch!
